Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from Wednesday 4th March 2020.
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
You will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now.
Read more about EPS on the NHS website.
Details of what you may have and how many times are computerised.
Repeat prescriptions will not be issued other than those that your doctor wishes you to take regularly. For all other medication you will need to see or speak to your doctor first.
Please use the printed re-order form provided with your prescription. Either deliver it to the surgery, post it with a stamped, addressed envelope or speak to your local chemist who may offer a ‘request and collection’ service.
Please do not try to order prescriptions by phone. We ask you to use the re-order slip because it avoids mistakes and also leaves the phone lines free for people calling for appointments or visits. If you have mislaid your repeat prescription to request your medication you can either come down to surgery and we can print your re-order form off for you or you can put your request in writing.
Your prescription will be available within 48 hours (excluding weekends).
