Patient update from Trinity and Bowthorpe Medical Practice regarding OneNorwich Practices

On Monday 23 October, the NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board (ICB) and OneNorwich Practices issued a joint statement advising that OneNorwich Practices would close down at the end of 2023.

The partners at Trinity and Bowthorpe Medical were greatly disappointed to hear this news and understand that this news may cause concern for our patients and staff. We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that we do not anticipate any disruption to our services due to this announcement.

Trinity and Bowthorpe Medical has been in communication with the ICB and understands that plans are being developed to identify alternative service providers to take on services that are currently delivered by OneNorwich Practices.  The ICB and OneNorwich Practices are working hard to ensure that patient services are not disrupted during this challenging time.

OneNorwich Practices delivers the following commissioned services:

  • Norwich Practices Health Centre on Rouen Road;
  • the Norwich Walk-in Centre;
  • the Vulnerable Adults Service;
  • the Lymphoedema Service and Asthma in Schools pilot in Norwich and the surrounding areas; and
  • Other targeted patient services on behalf of the Norwich Primary Care Network (PCN) area.

We have been advised that more information will be shared by the ICB when the alternative provision for OneNorwich Practice’s services has been confirmed, and we will update you as we learn more.
