You can now get your contraceptive pills for free from your local pharmacy, without needing a check at the GP practice! There is no need for an appointment at the GP practice. The Pharmacy Contraception Service allows pharmacists to provide both the Combined Contraception Pill and the Progestogen-only Pill (mini-pill). Your contraceptive pills will be free, just as if they had been prescribed by the practice. The following local pharmacies are already offering this service:
